So I think I’ll just go ahead and list a few of my favourite bloggers/influences and the main sorta content they create – they’re a bit of a mixed bath!
The Food Medic
Hazel Wallace is a full time junior doctor as well as a kick-ass blogger. She also manages to look like the kindest person in the world. Hazel shares healthy recipes and workouts for all fitness levels. Her book (also called The Food Medic) is full of fab, easy recipes and a whole bunch of different workouts. She also debunks a bunch of nutrition myths. This sounds like such a plug but I’m honestly such a fangirl when it comes to this superwoman!
Zanna Van Dijk
Zanna is fitness blogger/Adidas ambassador/personal trainer/and much much more. She founded ‘Girl Gains’ which started as a hashtag and has become a female empowerment movement worldwide. She qualified as a speech and language therapist before turning her hand to fitness. She also has a book that has some of the yummiest recipes I’ve ever seen, and she’s hilariously ‘normal’ if you know what I mean. If you ever need brunch recommendations, you NEED to be following Zanna.
Two Peas in a Bod
The Peas consists of Chessie King & Healthy Chef Steph. These girls are real life best friends and post a bunch of fitness content together and on their individual accounts. There friendship will warm your heart and their posts are often pretty hilarious too.
The Body Coach
Literally who doesn’t adore Joe? Despite having a personal training plan, numerous books and a workout DVD, I love that Joe still brings out a bunch of free content. I love how his recipes are ‘real’ food that a family could enjoy together rather than being really trendy health food if that makes sense. His Youtube workouts are fab and I love how he does them with you. I have some dodgy joints and whenever they’re playing me up I turn to his low impact HIIT vidoes.
Now for a Beauty blogger! I ADORE Shannon and her videos. Her makeup skills fill me with envy and her collection is to die for. I love how she tries drugstore and high end products and I just always feel like the reviews she gives are very honest. She also manages to seem like the nicest person alive and I also love watching her vlogs. I’ve managed to get my hands on her collaboration products with BH Cosmetics, Colourpop and Gerard Cosmetics so I’d love to get my hands on some of her XO Beauty line in the near future.
I don’t keep up with Tanya’s videos quite as well I do Shannon’s but I do love them when I catch up! I just think Tanya is so lovely and her marriage is adorable and her dogs and just everything. I have her ‘Tanya Bakes’ book and there’s some gorgeous recipes in there (not quite as nutritious as the aforementioned books though!). I also love her lip glosses but haven’t tried any of the other products!).
I have been watching Kingsley for YEARS now and am as much of a fan as ever. I’m so pleased he returned to Youtube as I really did miss his videos. He just never fails to crack me up (I LIVE fir ‘Thirsty Thursday’) but when he does more serious videos I also enjoy listening to his perspective on things.
Jenna is the other Youtuber I’ve been watching for years, alongside Kingsley. I first watched her ‘how to trick people into thinking your good looking’ when it originally came out and have been watching her since. I just think she has really good energy and is just naturally funny (and also stunning).
I haven’t been watching Emma’s channel for too long but I’d definitely say I’m a big fan. I’m fascinated by Japan so have really been into watching her adventures. I also love watching videos of tiny apartments (wherever they are in the world) so her old Tokyo apartment was one of the best for this!
Josefa Reina & Enilsa Brown
When I can’t sleep I watch videos of blackheads being extracted. It just relaxes me. Is that weird?
