Day 12 – Your Favourite Childhood Book (30 Day Blogging Challenge)

So as soon as I saw what today’s challenge was, I knew immediately that I would be writing about Jacqueline Wilson. Luckily for me, my older sister also loved her books so as soon as I got into them I had plenty as my disposal! I always remember reading ‘Vicky Angel’ in primary school and one of teachers remarked to my mum that she’d usually say that one was a bit ‘grown up’ (I don’t remember exactly how old I was but I know it early primary school if that makes sense) but that she thought I’d probably be okay with it.

In year 6 our teacher asked us to write to a celebrity that we admired and a bunch of us chose Jacqueline Wilson. She was kind enough to take the time to send us a group reply (literally like 15 of us wrote to her) and that was so special to us.

For this post I’ve selected ‘Candyfloss’. I’ve picked this as I remember waiting for it to come out. My mum got me at the front of the waiting list at our local library so that I was able to be the first person to borrow it! I re-read it so many times (as I did to all of her books).
